Hi Cruisers, no one likes the high cost of shipping. But unless you are able to pick up parts or a bicycle at our location, we need to hire Ups and USPS to get the items to your door. Retro Cruiser Bicycles does not make money on shipping . If at all we have a very small handling charge to help cover the cost of the boxes , tape and time to pack. Most shipping calculators on websites and this web site are not capable of properly combining multiple parts. When you buy multiple items the calculator would not be accurate because of the odd shapes associated with bikes and bike parts. When we ship combined parts or a bicycle, ( on every box ) the measurements of the box is required for shipping. Calculators cannot accurately come up with the shipping price because they do not calculate the DIMENSIONS .
For the best fair shipping cost to our customers , shipping is not calculated at the time of checkout. If you would like a shipping quote before ordering - just ask via email or give us a call.
When you place an order online for multiple items or a bike purchase, we may send you a email or call with the estimated shipping cost. If you place your order through PayPal, we will send you a money request for the shipping charge. We have thousands of customers that are OK with this arrangement because they know they are not being overcharged for their shipping rate. Thanks for your understanding.
Please let us know if you need to ship with a SIGNATURE REQUIRED . Ups charges an additional $ 3.50 for the signature required service. RCB is not responsible for packages after they are dropped off at your door.
Shipping Bicycles Some assembly is required , seats handle bars, pedals, front wheel will need to be installed, most of the hard stuff is done. We highly recommend that the bike be assembled by a qualified mechanic for safety. Bikes never ship fully assembled. Thanks and happy cruising.
